The SILK SHANTUNG COLLECTION is a textile entirely machine-made and processed. As such, it has less slubs and irregularities than handspun dupioni for greater consistency. It is also more crisp and more lustrous than dupioni. Because our Silk Shantung's threading is thinner than Dupioni, it is more suitable for delicate garments and pieces. Some suggested uses: suits, coats for all occasions, dresses, wedding attire, as well as home decor, and drapery.
Dry cleaning is recommended.
